Bilal Abdur-Rahman
Chief Executive Officer and Founder
Bilal Abdur-Rahman has an impressive track record building a robust network of surgeons and delivering profitable results with over 20 years of medical sales experience. In prior roles, he served as an Independent Distributor of Medicrea, an Independent Sales Agent for SeaSpine Inc. and as a Regional Sales Manager at Paradigm Spine and Zimmer Biomet. Bilal earned his bachelor’s degree in history from Oregon State University and a business certificate from the University of Washington. He is now pursuing an MBA in Organizational Leadership from Oregon State University. Bilal enjoys spending time with his family, reading, working out and rooting for his favorite football team, the Oregon State Beavers.
Kolby Taylor
Senior Sales Representative
Kolby Taylor joined the Spine Gear team in 2022, dedicating himself to supporting surgeons and facilities across the Valley in their efforts to improve patient surgical outcomes with the latest spine technologies. His area of expertise is sacroiliac fusions, trauma and degenerative disc disease (DDD). Kolby strives to be a reliable team player and takes pride in seeing the successful growth of Spine Gear. Kolby graduated from Oregon State University with a master’s degree in communications and business administration in 2021.
Ryan Lopez
Sales Representative
Ryan Lopez is a Sales Representative at Spine Gear based in Phoenix, Arizona. Originally from Tucson, Ryan is a proud University of Arizona Wildcats alumnus, where he earned his degree in Physiology, Medicine in 2021.
Ryan first joined Spine Gear as an Associate Sales Representative from 2023 to 2025, gaining hands-on experience in sales operations and medical devices before expanding his expertise as an Account Manager with Merit Foods of Arizona. He returned to Spine Gear in 2026, bringing with him a strong foundation in customer service, account management, and team leadership.
Passionate about healthcare and service, Ryan is dedicated to partnering closely with surgeons and OR staff to ensure they have the innovative implants, instruments, and support needed to provide the best possible patient care. His commitment to responsiveness and patient outcomes embodies Spine Gear’s mission of Enabling Surgical Success and Better Patient Outcomes.
